   Frequently Asked Questions about Visiting

  Visiting

Where do I go?
Our Sunday morning meeting is held in our fellowship hall. This is the large metal building at the back of our property. Iglesia Biblica La Luz meets in the auditorium.

Where do my children go?
Children are welcome to stay with you in our Sunday meetings. If you desire, we do offer childcare for infants and toddlers during the Sunday morning meeting. The nursery is near the middle of our long hallway, on the north side.

What is the Sunday morning meeting like?
Our meeting starts promptly at 9:00 am with an opening Scripture reading, which is typically related to the sermon. After prayer led by an elder, we sing together accompanied by piano, electronic keyboard, flute and sometimes other instruments. We use ancient songs, familiar songs, and new songs. Lyrics are projected on the front wall, and printed lyric sheets are also available. Occasionally we have either the children's choir or adult choir present a special song to the Lord.

Following our singing together, our preacher presents the morning sermon. We follow a verse-by-verse expository style with hearty application for contemporary hearers. Please be sure to bring your Bible so you can follow along with the study.

We conclude our Sunday morning meeting with testimonies from the congregation, prayer requests, service opportunities, receiving of the offering, and concluding prayer. Sunday School for all ages follows the morning meeting.

What should I wear?
We are glad to receive you as you are. Please do your best for the Lord's sake to present yourself clean before Him -- from the inside out. For your neighbor's sake, please do your best at least to be modest in your apparel.

What else happens on Sundays?

Childcare for infants and toddlers is available during this time.

A prayer meeting begins at 5:30 pm in the library.

On most Sunday evenings we have an evening Bible study which begins at 6:40 pm.

What happens on other days?
Most of our meeting times are centralized on Sundays. We want to promote and protect time for families to spend together and to practice hospitality.

There are several small groups that meet during the week in various homes. These are listed each week in our Sunday bulletin.

Children's choir rehearsal meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm during the academic year. Adult choir follows at 7:00 pm.
