What to Expect...

Visiting Katy Bible Church...

Welcome!  We're so glad you're considering worshipping with us. We think you'll find us to be a uniquely close-knit community of broken and redeemed people that strive in all we do to hold the gospel of Jesus Christ as central.  We never promise to be the most entertaining or flashy church in town, and we're a long way from perfect.  But be assured that there is no anonymity here and our family is anxious to welcome yours with open arms. We hope you'll join us at a weekend service and consider making us your church family.

We've put together the information below to make your initial visit a little smoother.  With that in mind, there's always the chance we might have missed something or left off information that may be of interest to you and your family.  Please don't hesitate to contact us at any time and we'll be more than happy to answer any further questions you may have.

Where do I go?

Katy Bible Church is located at 2500 Ave. D in Old Katy (zip: 77493).  That puts us just North of Mary Jo Peckham Park.  We're set off the main road a bit but don't worry, you can easily see us from the street.

When do I go?

Sunday School starts at 9:00am and our Worship Service starts at 10:30am.

Right...but once I'm at the church, THEN where do I go?

Sunday School as well as the Worship Service meet in our fellowship hall. This is the large metal building at the back of our property. You can't miss it.

Sunday School for various age groups meet in class rooms along the back hallway.

Currently we have a church plant, Iglesia Biblica La Luz, which meets in our former auditorium.

Where do my children go?

While children are more than welcome in both our main service and our sunday school classes, we do have age-appropriate classes for your children which are held during the sunday school time, which is 9:00am.

We feel there is value in families worshipping together and, as such, we welcome all ages in our main service at 10:30am.  If you desire, we do offer childcare for infants and toddlers during the main service and the Sunday School hour. The nursery is near the middle of our long hallway, towards the end closest to the fellowship hall.  Feel free to ask anyone you may see when you walk in the door and we'll be happy to walk you down.

What is the Sunday gathering like?

We hold the preaching of the Word to be the central focus of the service.

Our service begins at 10:30 am with an opening Scripture reading, leading to prayer and worship through song. We strive to sing songs which are God centered and Biblically rich. Stylistically, our worship time leans more towards the traditional end of things, with a combination of hymns and contemporary praise songs accompanied by various instruments.

Our pastor preaches verse by verse through the books of the bible with the goal of displaying for the congregation what God has said in His word and how we are to respond.

We conclude our Sunday morning meeting with testimonies from the congregation, prayer requests, service opportunities, receiving of the offering, and concluding prayer.
